STUD STORY


For over 30 years we have had Arabian blood in our stables, initially we started out with part bred Arabians but in the early 70’s we bought our first purebred;
a filly named Emucha. This filly (bred by the Scheerder family), brought us so much pleasure that we decided to concentrate more on purebreds.
We went looking for horses which we thought fit to start a breeding program. After many visits to Arabian stud farms all around Europe we bought three mares.
Dafirka (Aatik x Dabrana), Mirre (Aatik x Mielka) and Mirres daughter Miraffa (by Mustaffa) found a new home at our “Moontjeshof”. Our interest and enthusiasm for the Arabian breed continued to grow, as did the number of purebreds in our stables. With the addition of Aïcha (Saoud x Adaja) and Sybille (Little Star x Basileia) our broodmare band was completed. We believed that with those mares we had a sound basis for our breeding program; they represented everything we value in an Arabian horse: TYPE, QUALITY,
NOBILITY and a WONDERFUL CHARACTER.
To achieve our goal we bred our mares to carefully selected top quality, stallions like Nimb (by Muscat), Nartan (by Pomeranets) Abdullah (by Patron) and the Aswan sons Kapron, Plakat, Mir and Marsh.

Now, many years later, our broodmare band consists of straight Russian and Russian related mares, daughters of renowned stallions like Abakan, Gomel, Balaton, Kais, Abdullah, Mangal, Komplekt, Amal and Abdul. Looking over these mares are our three stallions: Kais, Patom and Abdul. Our breeding program is dedicated to the horse of beauty combined with performance and
a top pedigree. Top pedigree, for us, doesn’t simply mean that the parents were successful in show, it means that the ancestors of our horses are of proven quality generation after generation.

Our favourite time is when we’re at home among our horses and dogs.
